But the Manchester United star’s brace meant even more to one Betfair punter who backed him to carry on his tremendous – yet unlikely – goal scoring form.

And Betfair certainly thought so too, offering odds of 300/1 for him to bag another brace at Hampden.
One punter saw fit to stick £20 on that happening though and an early McTominay goal would have set pulses racing.
New Spurs signing Pedro Porro’s slip allowed Andy Robertson to pick out McTominay on seven minutes before he rolled the ball beyond Chelsea stopper Kepa for a vital early goal.
The punter was made to wait – but in all truth not that long – for the second goal, with McTominay the beneficiary of some incredible work from Arsenal star Kieran Tierney, before again picking his spot with a left foot finish six minutes after half time.
The punter scooped £6,020, with four other bettors backing the unlikely outcome with £1, £1, £2 and £13.33 stakes.
