Antonio Rudiger’s favourite kebab shop announces ex-Chelsea star has been picked in Germany’s Euro 2024 squad

GERMANY have announced Antonio Rudiger will be in their Euro 2024 squad through his favourite kebab shop.

In an inventive way to announce the 26-player team Julian Nagelsmann will have at his disposal, Germany have been revealing the squad with a series of reveals.

This trend started with Nico Schlotterbeck on the German FA’s Instagram account, before the RFL TV channel announced Bayern Munich’s Aleksandar Pavlovic.

Manuel Neuer was announced through influencer Chiara, while Stuttgart winger Chris Furich was confirmed by a video with his image on the side of a bakery bag in the Black Forest.

In the case of former Chelsea and current Real Madrid star Rudiger, he was called up with a video from his favourite kebab joint, Hisar fresh food.

The fast food restaurant has just under 2,000 followers on their own Instagram page at the time of writing.

Rudiger wrote under the post: “Hisar Döner = Bester Döner
Huge anticipation for the tournament – let’s goooo .”

Fans also seemed to be enjoying the novel revelation strategy.

One fan said: “I THINK THIS 10/10 how y’all do this with the announcement.”

Many other players have also announced their inclusion in the squad.

Leroy Sane, Jonathan Tah, Robin Koch, Maximilian Mittelstädt, Chris Führich, Niclas Füllkrug, Kai Havertz, Robert Andrich, Joshua Kimmich, Pascal Gross, Thomas Muller, David Raum and Ilkay Gundogan are also among those to have been announced.

Julian Brandt, Mats Hummels and Leon Goretzka appear to have been snubbed from the selection.

Germany kick off the tournament against Scotland on June 14.
