What is the biggest winning margin in The Boat Race history?

The largest margin of victory of the races on The Championship Course was won by Cambridge in 1900 race by 20 lengths.

The Light Blues won three consecutive years from 1920 to 1922 before Oxford gained a victory in 1923.

Since then, the second biggest winning margin was from Cambridge in 1955 by 16 lengths.

In the women’s race last year, Cambridge overcame Oxford for an impressive fifth year on the bounce.

In the men’s race, Cambridge got revenge for last year’s defeat to their University rivals.

The Boat Race 2024 is on Saturday, March 30.

The women’s race kicks off at 2.46pm GMT.

While the men’s takes place after at 3.46pm GMT.

The Boat Race will be broadcast live on BBC One.
