Meet little-known ‘fourth Schumacher’ David, 22, nephew of F1 icon Michael making own way in racing with glam driver Wag
THE Schumacher name carries significant weight in motorsport thanks to Formula One legend Michael, son Mick and brother Ralf.
But now fans have a fourth driver in the racing dynasty to follow.

But now a fourth member of the Schumacher family is out to make his own name in motorsport.
David Schumacher, nephew of Michael, son of Ralf and cousin of Mick, is making his own way in the sport.
David, 22, preparing to take on the gruelling Nurburgring 24 Hours race, in a Mercedes AMG GT.
The race, which this year is between May 30th and June 2nd, has been held annually since 1970.
Meanwhile, the 15.7-mile Nurburgring Nordschleife is considered to be one of the most dangerous circuits in all of motorsport.
However, it is a challenge the young Schumacher is ready to face head on.
Speaking to Bild, Schumacher said: “The Nordschleife is one of the best routes I have driven so far – if not the best!
“I can now experience it for the first time with the Mercedes-AMG GT4.
“I’ve heard that the fans here are simply unique. All the parties and lights at night create a special atmosphere.

“I’m looking forward to the smell of sausages when I’m on the way to Brünnchen.”
However, father Ralf – who competed in F1 between 1998 and 2007 and earning six race wins – has admitted he would rather his son did not race around the circuit.
He previously told Motorsport-Total: “If it were up to me, he wouldn’t do it, but he’s decided to do it.
“This is of course a very important part in the GT sector – and especially in the GT3 sector – for many racing drivers. That’s why I’m excited. Personally, it would be too dangerous for me.”
Schumacher already suffered a horror injury in his racing career.
In 2022 he broke his back in a fireball crash at the Hockenheim DTM following a collision with Thomas Preining.
His injuries were not thought to be serious at the scene, but an MRI later revealed he had broken a lumbar vertebra.
Prior to his time in touring cars, Schumacher had earned his stripes in F3 and other lower formulae such as the F4 UAE Championship and Asian F3 Winter Series.
Racing runs in Schumacher’s blood. And it also seems to dictate his life choices.
He is currently dating Hungarian prodigy Vivien Keszthelyi, and the pair celebrated six years together in February.
The 23-year-old raced in 2019 season of W Series with Hitech GP.
Her other motorsport formats include the Audi Sport TT Cup, F3 Asian Championship – Winter Series and Euroformula Open Championship.
At the age of 19 she was voted as the best Hungarian female racing driver in 2019 by Hungarian Motorsport and Formula Magazine.
She has over 81,000 followers on Instagram.
