Leicester complete transfer for Ghanaian striker Nathan Opoku and immediately loan him to Belgian sister club
LEICESTER CITY burst out of the blocks on transfer deadline day with an early raid for Ghanaian striker Nathan Opoku.
And the Foxes then loaned the 21-year-old US-based forward to their Belgian sister club OH Leuven to get acclimatised to European football.

Opoku has impressed in the States playing for Syracuse University where he scored 11 goals and provided eight assists last season in 25 appearances.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano posted a picture which appears to show the player posing with a Leicester City scarf while at OH Leuven’s Den Dreef Stadium.
Opoku’s goals helped Syracuse become National Collegiate Athletic Association champions in December and he opened the scoring in the final, which they won on penalties.
Syracuse spotted Opoku’s talent after he banged in 19 goals in 19 games for Lindsey Wilson College.
The Foxes are grooming Opoku to provide a long term replacement for Jamie Vardy.
And they want to test him in Europe with OH Leuven who are 10th in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League.
The youngster could even make a speedy debut against RFC Searing on Saturday.
Meanwhile Brendan Rodgers is stepping up his interest in Stoke City’s Aussie defender Harry Souttar.

The Foxes are willing to pay £15million plus add-ons for one of the surprise hits of the World Cup in Qatar.
And that could open the door for Caglar Soyuncu to join Atletico Madrid.
