The Brazilian will earn £130million a year in Saudi ArabiaRex

Neymar, 31, was announced to a 60,000-capacity crowd at the King Fahd International Stadium as Al-Hilal drew 1-1 with Al-Feiha.

Supporters lit up the dark stadium with their flashlights as a huge hologram of Neymar’s Fifa card lit up the night sky.

That was then replaced by another massive hologram of Neymar’s face, which was visible from outside the stadium.

His iconic number 10 was shown on the pitch as Neymar made his way out to the centre circle, waving at fans as he soaked up their adoration.

Neymar looked excited as he walked out and began high-fiving mascots as the crowd cheered.

A massive pyrotechnic display followed which left the forward looking a little bewildered, with fireworks and flames creating an incredible atmosphere.

However fans will have to wait to catch a glimpse of the Brazil legend in action as he is injured.

Al-Hilal manager Jorge Jesus indicated it could be several weeks until he is fit enough to play, despite Neymar being called up to the Brazil squad.

Jesus said: “Neymar is an innovative and creative player, he will help us to improve, but he has a slight injury now and I don’t know when he will return. Maybe he will be ready in mid-September.

“I don’t know how the Brazilian national team [could have] called him, he is not ready.”
