He penned a two-year with fellow LaLiga outfit Sevilla ahead of the 2022/23 season.

But after just four months, both parties mutually agreed to terminate the contract with Isco having registered just one goal and three assists in 19 games.

Now high-flying Union Berlin are set to snap him up on a free as they look to build on their superb start to the campaign.

Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg revealed on Monday that a deal was complete for Isco to move to the German capital on an 18-month deal with the option of a further year.

Speaking on social media, he said: “DONE DEAL! Isco will join @fcunion as revealed.

“Been told he will sign a contract until 2024+1. Medical tomorrow! It’s unbelievable but true: Isco will join UNION!”
