EXCLUSIVE: Patrick Kpozo to sign new deal with Swedish top-flight side Ostersunds

Ghanaian footballer Patrick Kpozo is set to extend his contract with Swedish side Ostersunds, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively report.

The 23-year old is currently on loan at First division side IFK Lulea and has been impressive making 28 out of 30 matches in the ongoing campaign.

Ostersunds are set to be hit with a transfer ban for two seasons following a deal with Saman Ghoddos and the club is looking to beef up its squad before the ban takes effect.

Ostersunds Coach Amir Azrafshan is impressed with the performance of Patrick Kpozo and has considered the Ghanaian defender in his squad for next year.

“He is an interesting player that I hope to keep”, FK’s coach said in an interview.

“He has some exceptional qualities and it is important to get them out, like any other player. There is a reason why he came to stersund from the beginning”.

Patrick Kpozo is interested in extending his stay with the Swedish top-flight side and ready to agree to a new deal.

” Yes of course. stersund is my home, says Kpozo.

“It was important that I got to play again, because I had barely played at all for a long time before that. I needed it. I got to play a lot, made almost all matches, scored some goals and assists”.
