Eddie Nketiah has come in to replace him as Mikel Arteta‘s men continue to fly high at the top of the Premier League table.

But Arsenal supporters are keen to see Jesus back as soon as possible ahead of the run-in.

And according to Football London, the club now expect him to return before the international break.

Arsenal have six games in 19 days days before a two-week lay-off on March 19.

They host Everton in the Premier League on Wednesday, before a trip to Bournemouth three days later.

Arsenal then travel to Portugal for their Europa League last-16 tie against Sporting Lisbon, with an away game at Fulham sandwiched in between the two legs.

Their final match before the international break then comes at home to Crystal Palace.

But Arteta remained coy on the Brazilian’s progress when asked about him prior to their 1-0 win over Leicester.

He said: “He’s progressing well. Doing more and more on the field. The knee’s not reacting so it’s really positive.

“We want him back as quick as possible, but also respecting the timescale that the doctors and the specialists are giving us.”

Jesus contributed five goals and seven assists in 20 appearances before his injury.
