Despite coming out as the first entrant, the 26-year-old made history as she eventually eliminated Asuka and then Liv Morgan to win the Rumble.

Ripley, who is a member of the Judgment Day faction led by Finn Balor, lasted over 61 minutes in the ring.

She now holds the record for the longest female Rumble match performance.

But her victory came at a cost as she revealed afterwards that she suffered a DISLOCATED KNEE during the gruelling bout.

However, she is not the only one that emerged from the extravaganza battered and bruised.

Deville, who previously admitted that she “loved” being the first openly lesbian wrestler in WWE, entered the Rumble at number 27.

She managed to survive until she was eventually eliminated by Asuka, who hit her with a vicious kick to the head.

And Deville, 29, later posted a gruesome snap of a huge cut above her left eyebrow on Twitter.

The grappler, real name Daria Rae Berenato, started out as a participant in the reality competition show Tough Enough, where she was eliminated but still inked a deal with WWE along with former tag team partner Mandy Rose.

Sonya debuted on the main roster in 2017 as a part of Absolution and later became Fire and Desire with Mandy Rose before the pair went their separate ways.

In August 2020, Phillip A Thomas II attempted to kidnap Deville from her home in Florida after planning it for eight months.

Philip Thomas II was still in the home in possession of a knife, mace, plastic zip ties, and duct tape when the police arrived and found him and arrested him.

After being granted some time off from the company, Deville is now back on a full-time basis and she will challenge Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Title this Friday.
