He and O.C. team-mates Karl Anderson and Mia Yim picked up a win over the Judgment Day’s Finn Balor, Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley.

However, Styles is believed to have hurt his ankle during the match and he could now face a race against time to be fit enough to compete at next month’s Royal Rumble.

After the bout, fan-shot footage surfaced on social media that firstly showed the Monday Night Raw star being tended to at ringside.

A referee then performs the ‘X’ sign with his hands, a symbol used in wrestling when someone has legitimately suffered an injury.

Another photo was then shared on Twitter which shows Styles sat on the ground by the ring steps holding his ankle.

PWInsider has since reported that the injury is “100% legitimate” and was not part of the storyline.

The Phenomenal One will now be likely getting set to get the damage he suffered assessed as soon as possible to determine whether he requires any time off from the ring.

Neither Styles or WWE have commented publicly on the incident yet.
