‘WTF is going on?’ – Sturridge leaves internet baffled with Portuguese accent and singing during World Cup prediction
EX-ENGLAND and Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has confused the internet with his Portuguese accent and signing during his World Cup prediction.
The 77 Premier League-goal striker, 33, is without a club after leaving Perth Glory in the summer, and he is making the most of his free time.

Sturridge is watching the World Cup and is issuing a number of tournament predictions.
He has backed France’s Kylian Mbappe to win the Golden Boot and also broke out in song over the Paris Saint-Germain star – literally singing his praises.
This time, it was Portugal and World Cup Group H’s turn.
And Sturridge predicted Portugal to top the group, while also backing Ghana to finish second, reaching the knockouts.

Such a finish would see Ghana exact revenge on Luis Suarez for his World Cup 2010 quarter-final handball, which denied the African country a semi-final spot.
Uruguay went on to win the game after Asamoah Gyan missed the penalty.
It would also send Son Heung-min and South Korea packing.
In a Portuguese accent, Sturridge said: “Group H, baby. I’m going to go with Portugal.

“So come on, I’m gonna go with Portugal. The way they play, the chances they create, the goals they score. Special squad.

“And you’ve got Ghana. Inaki Williams up front for me, is always a threat.

In a Ghana-inspired rendition of Bob Marley’s Bad Boys, Sturridge sang: “So I’m going to go with the Black Stars, Black Stars… what you gonna do when they come for a Black Star, Black Star. Jheeeeeez.”
And ex-England ace Sturridge – played at World Cup 2014 – breaking out in song over Ghana has left the internet baffled.
