Actor James Marsden and model Winnie Harlow were among those joining Schmidt at the event.

Lewis Hamilton was also recently in Cannes, but the Forumla One legend was nowhere to be seen at Aston Martin’s showcase.

Schmidt – dubbed by Busted Coverage as the world’s sexiest athlete – is a European bronze and silver medallist.

But the Puma-sponsored star is making waves off the track, recently celebrating a front cover on Women’s Health magazine.

Schmidt now has 3.7million Instagram followers and targets next year’s Paris Olympics.

Posting shots of her magazine cover on her Instagram story, she wrote: “I had such a great training camp and I’m really happy with my progress over the last weeks.”

Schmidt, 24, found time to be a fitness coach for Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund in 2020-21.

And she was also named in the Forbes 30 under 30 list for influential young people.

Schmidt spent some time training in South Africa and Miami for the new outdoor season.

And after sharing crop-top shots from a running track last week, she hinted at her Paris goal with some philosophical words.

Quoting “business growth motivator” Fabienne Fredrickson, she posted: “The day you plant the seed is not the day you eat the fruit.”
