WORLD OPEN snooker has concluded – and this year the prize money was bigger than ever.

However, snooker fans have been delighted to see some of the biggest stars, such as Ronnie O’Sullivan, in action in China this week – although The Rocket crashed out to Hossein Vafaei.

Brit Judd Trump triumphed for a second consecutive tournament after beating Ding Junhui 10-4 in the final.

The World Open Snooker is one of the richest ranking events of the season and has a total prize pot of £815,000 and the winner banking £170,000.

Winner: £170,000

Runner-up: £73,000

But the qualification matches took place earlier this year at the Barnsley Metrodome in January.

The tournament got underway on Monday, March 18, 2024, and will run every day until the final on Sunday, March 24, 2024.
