Supercomputer predicts World Snooker Championship winner as Ronnie O’Sullivan hunts 8th title but holder is in trouble
RONNIE O’SULLIVAN will win the World Snooker Championship for a record eighth time, according to a supercomputer.
The world number one is the second seed behind last year’s winner Luca Brecel.

O’Sullivan has been drawn against 22-year-old Jackson Page in the first round, ranked 43 in the world.
And he has been tipped to go all the way at the Crucible by a supercomputer run by MyBettingSites, alongside bet365.
O’Sullivan, 48, has been given a 23.4 per cent chance of winning the title for the eighth time.
That is seven per cent higher than the next favourite, Judd Trump, who has been given a considerably higher chance than the rest of the contenders at 15.8 per cent.
Four-time winner Mark Selby comes in third at eight per cent, with Mark Allen and Mark Williams rounding off the top five.
Brecel has been given just a 4.2 per cent chance of defending his crown after failing to win a tournament this season.
O’Sullivan, by comparison, has been in fine form and has already broken the record for the highest amount of prize money won in a single season.
The Rocket has so far bagged £1.16m from 11 tournaments became the first player to win in Saudi Arabia after beating Brecel 5-2 in the World Masters final last month.

That was his fifth win this season to go with his victories at Shanghai Masters, UK Championship, Masters and World Grand Prix.
His total has overtaken the previous high mark of £1.01m that was set by Trump in 2018-19 when he claimed his one and only Crucible crown.
