Supercomputer predicts Arsenal WILL win the Champions League as last-16’s chances of glory are revealed

A SUPERCOMPUTER has predicted Arsenal to win the Champions League.

The Gunners returned to the competition this season for the first time since 2016/17.

But it is like Mikel Arteta’s side have never been away as they picked up four wins from their six group matches.

They even qualified with a game to spare after thrashing Ligue Un side Lens last month.

Now a supercomputer devised by OLBG has predicted the Gunners to win the Champions League after compiling data from all group stage results.

Arsenal have been given a 22 per cent chance of European glory this season – two per cent better than the next best team Manchester City.

City are defending champions and impressed in Group G with six wins out of six – the first time they have managed that feat.

Bayern Munich are trailing some way behind in third place with a 15 per cent chance of European glory while Real Madrid are the fourth most likely team to lift the trophy at Wembley Stadium come May.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side have a 12 per cent of adding to their 14 Champions League trophies.

Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are the next favourites with a seven per cent chance, despite the fact French champions PSG struggled to qualify from their group.

A simulated draw of the Champions League last 16 has pitted Arsenal against PSG, perhaps one of the trickiest opponents they could face in the next round.
