Super punter wins £13,780 from 14p bet on 14-fold football acca thanks to unbelievable late drama

YOU can’t do much with 14p these days, it wouldn’t even be enough to buy you a Freddo…

But this super punter can now purchase more than 55,000 Freddos after turning 14p into an astonishing £13,780 after correctly predicting 14 football results on Saturday!

The William Hill bettor stuck a lowly 14 pence on 14 clashes spanning five countries and seven leagues in England, Scotland, Germany, Italy and France at astronomical odds of 98,429/1.

They claim home advantage doesn’t count for much these days, but apparently that logic doesn’t count on Bank Holidays with every single home club claiming three points.

With a spate of fixtures coming down to the wire – not helped by several red cards going against the punter’s selections – the punter had several occasions giving them sweaty palms.

So they would have breathed a huge sigh of relief after a trio of Scottish clubs pulled through at the 11th hour.

In Scottish League One, Clyde needed a 91st minute winner to secure victory.

Meanwhile in Scottish League Two, Stenhousemuir also netted a 91st minute winner, closely followed by Forfar clinching an 89th minute winner having played an hour of football with ten men.

William Hill spokesperson, Lee Phelps, said: “This is one of the most industrious punts we’ve seen in a long while, and it’s an incredible thing to pull off.

“Turning 14p into £13,780 is not something many of us will ever say – and what a nail-biting way to settle a 14-team accumulator.”
