Super Bowl 2024 LIVE — Deebo Samuel back after injury scare for 49ers as Marquez Valdes-Scantling TD puts Chiefs ahead
THE Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers is headed into the fourth quarter.
49ers WR Deebo Samuel was dealing with a left hamstring injury after falling to the field but he has returned to the game.
Meanwhile, Patrick Mahomes’ overcame his early second-half interception and threw his first touchdown of the game to Marquez Valdes-Scantling.
This came after the 49ers muffed a punt and the Chiefs took over in great territory.
It was an eventful first half as Travis Kelce got into a heated exchange with head coach Andy Reid throwing his helmet and pleading with him to “keep me in.”
For the 49ers star LB Dre Greenlaw collapsed on the field as he was about to run on the field after a Chiefs punt return and injured his Achilles taking him out for the rest of the game.
