Sports Minister-designate Mustapha Yussif sends goodwill message to Black Satellites ahead of U-20 AFCON

 Ghana’s Youth and Sports Minister-designate Mustapha Yussif has sent his good wishes on behalf of the government to the Black Satellites team ahead of their U-20 AFCON campaign in Mauritania.The team made up of 26 players arrived in Nouadhibou on Saturday to begin preparations for their first game on Tuesday.In a brief message to the team which was delivered before the team’s departure, Hon Ussif urged the players to put up their best performance and make the entire nation proud.Though he is yet to go through vetting and parliamentary approval, the Minister-designate assured the team of governments support and and his personal commitment to ensure that the team will repeat their impressive performance in the WAFU tournament.GFA President Kurt ES Okraku who was at the Airforce base to see the team off also reminded the team that the entire country is behind them and called on them to make the nation proud during the competition.You are not only representing Ghana but also West Africa because you are the champions of the Wafu competition.Put in your best efforts and lets win this competition and I can assure you that your efforts will be rewarded by the country, the GFA President stated in a brief meeting with the team on Saturday.U20 Management Committee chairman Mr Ransford Abbey is leading the Ghanaian delegation to Mauritania.The delegation also includes Northern RFA chairman Alhaji Alhassan Abu, Mr Samuel Anim Addo and some staff of the GFA.Ghana will begin their campaign against Tanzania on Tuesday 16 February, before taking on Morocco and Gambia.
