Loftus-Cheek, 27, has given the green light to a switch to Italy, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report claims that Milan are planning a bid for the Englishman with the view of him being able to replace Ismael Bennacer, who is currently sidelined with a knee injury.

Bennacer’s injury will likely keep him out of action until the end of the year.

It is said that the clubs are in negotiations over a price for the midfielder, with Chelsea’s price tag at £21million.

However, Milan’s opening bid is much lower at £13m, though the club are believed to be willing to raise their offer to £17.2m.

After Chelsea’s final game of the season Loftus-Cheek appeared to wave goodbye to the club’s fans.

Loftus-Cheek’s contract at the Blues is set to expire at the end of next season in 2024.
