RONNIE O’SULLIVAN knows exactly how he’s going to celebrate his victory at the UK Championship – and it won’t involve any wild parties.

The snooker legend claimed his eighth title in York on Sunday night by beating Ding Junhui 10-7.

O’Sullivan became the oldest-ever winner of the illustrious competition – two days before he turns 48 years old – after becoming its youngest champ 30 years ago aged 17.

But the Rocket is not set to celebrate his achievement and birthday in spectacular fashion.

He said prior to the start of the tournament that just a few snacks would be his treat to himself if he lifted the trophy.

O’Sullivan revealed: “Just a couple of Snickers bars, a bag of crisps and a Diet Coke on the motorway on the way home.

“That’s one of my favourite things to do after a few days away on the road.

“I just dive into a double Snickers, a bag of cheese and onion, and a Diet Coke.

“Amazing. It hits the spot perfect.”

O’Sullivan has now won 22 Masters, World Snooker Championship and UK titles combined in his career.

His first victory came at the latter three decades ago as he beat Stephen Hendry when he was just a teenager.

But O’Sullivan does not revel in victory, previously admitting that he doesn’t even keep his trophies as he is “preparing for death”.
