NSOATREMAN JOINS SAMATEX AND KOTOKU ROYALS FOR GHANA PREMIER LEAGUE

All is set for next season’s Ghana Premier League as three teams join from Division One. Samatex FC, Kotoku Royals and Nosatreman FC have all qualified to play in the Ghana Premier League 2022/23 season.

Nsoatreman were the last team to qualify after they beat Tamale City 2-1.

The last play-off game took place yesterday, June 21, 2022. at the Accra Sports Stadium. The tight clash was a delight to watch as both sides pushed each other to the brim.

To this effect the game had to be decided through extra time after the 90 minutes regulation ended 1-1. The first half ended goalless after both sides failed to convert the created chances.

The Bono based club drew first blood through Samuel Ofori on the 59th minute. On the 65th minute, Bismark Asare equalized for Tamale City. Charles Asante would go on to become the hero of the day as he struck home a beautiful goal for Nsoatreman FC after 8 minutes of play in the extra time.

On the other side, Samatex and Kotoku Royals qualified outright after topping their respective zones in the Division One League. FC Samatex secured their qualification about a month ago after obtaining 58 points to top Zone Two of Ghana’s Division One league.

The Royals of Akyem Kotoku came first in Zone Three with 63 points. They pipped Liberty Professionals by a point whereas Tema Youth had 60 points.
