Newcastle close in on ‘Baby Kaka’ transfer as fans fall in love with star they’ve ‘never heard of’ after highlights reel
NEWCASTLE are reportedly closing in on the signing of a man dubbed “Baby Kaka” – and fans are already in love with the star even though they have “never heard of” him.
The Magpies are allegedly on the verge of making Celta Vigo ace Gabri Veiga their first summer addition.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder has caught the eye in LaLiga despite his side’s struggle against the drop.
His side face champions Barcelona on Sunday with their top-flight status on the line going into the final game of the campaign.
Celta sit a point above the relegation and need to match Valladolid’s against Getafe to secure safety.
However, even if they do survive, it seems highly-unlikely that the Spanish U21 international Veiga will still be there for the start of next term.
His form has attracted plenty of interest and Real Madrid were one of those looking to snap him up while Manchester City have also scouted him.
However, Marca are stating that Veiga is very close to signing for Newcastle.
He allegedly has a £34m release clause in his contract and Celta are resigned to losing their prized-asset once the transfer window opens.
After speculation began to mount over an impending move to St. James’ Park, a highlight reel of clips showing some of the magic possessed by Veiga went viral amongst the Toon Army on social media.

A Twitter account going by the name of Rimedi then tweeted: “Gabri Veiga going to Newcastle is such a brilliant move.
“Watched him a lot this season at Celta, I think of him as baby Kaka.
“Ofc not as quick as Kaka, but he profiles very similarly to him. Great final ball with great ball carrying.”
And that combination sent the Magpies faithful into meltdown, with one writing: “Never heard of him till today but I already know he’s the next Messi.”
Another excited Mag wrote: “I mean this tells you all you need to know about Gabri Veiga. Certainly a special player.”
While a fellow fan commented: “That boy has got some swagger.”
