But no matter how much she tries to build her own legacy in netball she will always be reminded of her dad – Manchester United legend Paul Scholes.

And on the weekend assisted England to beat South Africa in a 53-50 win to secure 2-1 victory in a three-match series at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham.

The 22-year-old shared the triumph on her Instagram in a post including photos of herself and her teammates.

She climbed through the youth ranks in the Roses U17, U19 and U21 squads and has taken their success on board.

But the London Pulse ace was not a part of the England squad for their second-place World Cup finish in South Africa earlier this year.

Scholes did make her senior debut in Christchurch, New Zealand during the summer at the Fast5 Netball World Series.

However, the Netball star could pick up some tips from her dad on how to win more silverware.

Paul Scholes spent his entire playing career with United.

During that time he won 22 major trophies, including 11 league titles and the treble in 1999.

The ex-England midfielder made 716 appearances and scored 155 goals for the Red Devils.

Meanwhile, Alicia balances her time playing netball in London with training clients are her co-owned gym with her brother Arron in Oldham.

Her close relationship with her dad stunned fans in 2021, though, after she shared a viral video to her Instagram.

The clip showed Scholes appearing to chew his daughter’s toenails, prompting rival supporters to tease the United icon.
