MK DONS have sacked boss Mark Jackson after the club were relegated to League Two and angry fans confronted their owner.

Their demotion was secured on the final day of the season after they failed to beat Burton Albion.

Jackson’s assistants Robbie Stockdale and analyst Aaron Dagger have also gone.

A club statement read: “We would like to thank Mark, Robbie and Aaron for their efforts during their time at Stadium MK.

“Everyone at MK Dons wishes them every success in the future.

“Chairman Pete Winkelman will meet with the media on Thursday to address the club’s relegation to Sky Bet League Two and to discuss next steps for MK Dons.”

Winkleman is under pressure from supporters that raged at him in the car park after relegation.

Fans confronted him, demanding answers, and were greeted with an angry reaction.

Winkleman accepted relegation and swore at fans while they allege false promises were made.
