Mikel Arteta fast tracks ‘jewel of Arsenal’s academy’ into first-team training after being hailed as ‘next Bukayo Saka’
MIKEL ARTETA has fast-tracked Amario Cozier-Duberry into the senior squad ahead of Arsenal’s game with West Ham.
Cozier-Duberry, 18, has been hailed as the “jewel of Arsenal’s academy”.

And some even reckon he’s the “next Bukayo Saka” after shining for the Gunners’ youth sides.
But Cozier-Duberry could be on course for his senior bow after he was spotted training with Arsenal’s first team this week.
Mikel Arteta is keen to keep his side’s title run going following an impressive win over top-of-the-table Liverpool.
And Cozier-Duberry could be in line for a nod after grabbing seven goals and two assists under Arsenal youth boss Jack Wilshere.
It wouldn’t be the first time he’s made a senior match day squad.
In December 2022, Cozier-Duberry landed a place on the bench in the 3-1 win over West Ham.
But this time, he will be hoping to finally get on the pitch.
Cozier-Duberry’s potential inclusion could also be a way of persuading him to sign a new contract.

His current deal expires this summer, making him a free agent.
And Arsenal youth chief Wilshere hopes Cozier-Duberry continues his development at the Emirates.
Wilshere said last year: “Amario is very exciting and Mikel like him.
“He reminds me of Bukayo Saka, he plays in the same position as him but he needs to get better with his decision-making.
“He’s definitely exciting, in some moments he’s unplayable. You give him the ball and he can make things happen.
“You can set up a team and have a game plan, but when you’ve got individuals like that you’ve got a chance.”
