Meet the power couple looking to take World Darts Championship by storm – it all started out with a KFC

CAMERON MENZIES is aiming to take the World Darts Championship by storm but could face his partner.

The darts star is dating fellow thrower Fallon Sherrock, who is also set to fight for progression at the tournament.

They went on a date to KFC

Sherrock, 29, faces Jermaine Wattimena as she hopes to get to the second round at the Alexandra Palace tonight.

Menzies, 33, is also looking to progress to the next round as he is set to face Rusty-Jake Rodriguez.

They will both be supporting each other at Ally Pally as they are together.

The couple met each other while playing in an online darts league and competing in a doubles team.

Menzies has revealed that he wooed her with chicken at a KFC.

He added: “I had known Fallon for years in darts and played doubles with her years ago.

“We met in an online league in Southampton.

“The rest is history as they say. It started off with a KFC.

Menzies has managed to get out of work as a plumber early in order to make the tournament in London.

His boss gave him a half shift by his boss to allow him time to rush from his job in Milton Keynes to North London.

Menzies has admitted that he and Sherrock are still competitive and have even made a bet over who will make it the furthest in the competition.

He said: “Fallon has done more on the big stage than me.

“But we support each other. When you get beat you are down.

“We both know how the other feels after matches.

“She lets me stare into space and leaves me alone for five minutes and then I’m fine.

“It would be good to both still be in the Worlds after Christmas.

“I don’t know who will be cooking the turkey.

“Usually, I’m up in Scotland with the family but this year I’ll be down in England with Fallon.

“Basically the first one knocked out of the Worlds has to do the turkey!”

Sherrock shot to fame in 2019 as she became the first female to win a match at the PDC World Championship.

She earned the nickname “Queen of the Palace” for her darts ability.
