He is trailing well behind his tally of 18 from last season – which saw him finish as the club’s top scorer.

And Opta have now revealed that his shot conversion percentage has also significantly declined.

Ronaldo scored with 16 per cent of his attempts in the Premier League last season.

But that figure has fallen off a cliff so far this term, with the ex-Real Madrid man dropping to a conversion rate of five per cent.

His expected goals per shot has also reduced from 0.16 to 0.07, while his minutes per goal is now a whopping 430 – a drastic drop off from last season’s 137.

Ronaldo’s poor form has coincided with him being cast out of the first team under new manager Erik ten Hag.

The United legend has started just three of United‘s 12 Premier League matches, with Marcus Rashford frequently preferred as the focal point of attack.

It has been a tumultuous few weeks for Ronaldo at Old Trafford.

He refused to come on as a substitute in the 2-0 win over Tottenham last month.

And his misconduct saw Ten Hag axe him from the squad for the 1-1 draw with Chelsea.

Ronaldo then came back in for the Europa League clash with Sheriff where he bagged his third goal of the season in all competitions.

That saw him earn a starting place in the team that played West Ham.

But while United won the game 1-0, Ronaldo failed to find the back of the net for the eighth league match this season.
