The badly-injured Sorin Comsa then even looked to complain that the blow was actually to his temple.

The “sport” is in the spotlight ahead of UFC president Dana White launching his own Power Slap Fighting this week in the States.

It involves two competitors standing either side of a podium who then take turns to slap each other on the cheek.

And the results can be brutal, as displayed in the clip that went viral.

Comsa continues to take punishment despite the left side of his face looking disfigured from the damage.

It is massively swollen, and there are streaks of blood on his cheek, however, that did not stop him from continuing.

His suffering was not in vain either.

Despite being badly-hurt, he still emerged as the victor to leave Las Vegas with the RXF champion’s belt.

And that led to McGregor, a two-weight UFC title holder, to take to Twitter afterwards.

The Notorious, who is nearing a return to the octagon after filming the new Road House movie, appeared to not be too impressed by what he had seen.

He cheekily tweeted: “Absolutely gorgeous technique congrats the new heavy weight champion.”
