Liverpool transfer target Sofyan Amrabat posts cryptic message as Barcelona edge ahead in transfer chase

FIORENTINA star Sofyan Amrabat posted a cryptic message on social media amid transfer interest from Liverpool and Barcelona.

The Reds and Barca are looking to make a late swoop for Amrabat on deadline day, but it is the Spanish giants that are closer to a deal.

The midfielder appears keen for a new challenge as he took to Instagram to hint that he wants to take the plunge immediately.

Amrabat posted: “Go for it now. The future is promised to no one.”

This comes after the Morocco international skipped training to force a move away from Fiorentina.

That was a major boost for Liverpool, but it seems like Barcelona have stolen a march.

The Blaugrana have offered the Viola a deal worth £35million for the 26-year-old.

The bid is made up of a £2.64m loan fee with an option to buy worth £32.5m.

The Serie A giants are “not accepting these conditions” but the Moroccan star seems ready to leave.

Amrabat has stood out this season in Italy and also helped Morocco become the first ever African nation to reach the World Cup semi-finals.

Barcelona see the holding midfielder as the best replacement for the legendary Sergio Busquets.

Liverpool, on the other hand, still need reinforcement in the middle of the park amid a turbulent campaign.

Amrabat has amassed a total of 25 appearances across all competitions so far this season.
