JONATHAN DAVID has revealed that he admired Eden Hazard after breaking his goals record.
The Canadian striker broke the former Chelsea star’s record of 52 goals after netting a hat-trick against Lyon in Ligue 1.

The record is only being judged on the club’s 21st century, but David has still impressed as he has achieved the feat in only 102 Ligue 1 games.
Speaking after game, the 23-year-old admitted his pride in breaking the record.
However, he also went on to suggest where he would like to move to after Lille.
He said: “I’ve admired Eden Hazard for a long time, to break his record is a bit surreal for me.
“I am thankful to my teammates, the supporters, our coaching staff for their support and encouragement.
“The furthest I can see for the moment is the next game and helping Lille get back into the top four.
“Saturday mornings growing up in Canada were about the Premier League and LaLiga.
“Premier League and LaLiga are every kid’s dream”.
Chelsea were linked with a move for the striker before the January transfer window and could renew their interest this summer.
Despite a massive transfer splurge over the last ten months, the club are still in need of a top quality striker.
David has also had interest from Arsenal, Tottenham and West Ham.
