LaLiga: Ex-Barcelona Coach, Koeman Reveals Next Move

Former FC Barcelona manager, Ronald Koeman, has revealed his next move after his Camp Nou contract termination.

Three days after his sack from the Spanish football club, Koeman has said that he will take a “good rest for a while.”

Naija News reports that the Dutchman football manager was fired on the flight back home by Barca president Joan Laporta, following a 1-0 loss to Rayo Vallecano on Wednesday night.

Koeman was approached by AD for a reaction to his dismissal from Barcelona, but the 58-year-old manager was reluctant to speak more on the event.

“I don’t speak to the press. I’m just going to take a good rest for a while now,” the Dutchman said.

Koeman’s agent according to reports is now entering talks with the LaLiga about a payoff for the remainder of his contract.

Naija News understands that the Catalans have only picked up 15 points from 10 games in La Liga and has already lost twice in the group stage of this season’s Champions League.

They are ninth in La Liga, six points adrift of leaders Sevilla after losing at Rayo Vallecano on Wednesday.

However, former club player, Xavi Hernandez is believed to be Barca’s top choice to replace Koeman at Camp Nou.

Meanwhile, Egyptian professional footballer, Mohamed Salah is about to become Liverpool’s most paid player in the club’s history.

Naija News understands Dutch footballer, Virgil van Dijk currently holds the Red’s baton as the most paid player in the club with a weekly wage of £220,000.

The English Premier League club according to reports is considering making Salah become their highest-paid player and will use the offer of a lucrative signing-on fee to sweeten the deal.
