Kudus Mohammedâs Ajax coach Ten Hag leading candidate for Tottenham job
Ghana attacker Kudus Mohammed could have a new coach at Ajax from next season following reports that Erik ten Hag is the leading candidate to become Tottenhams new head coach.It is reported Ten Hag has emerged as the favourite to land the top job after Tottenham’s first choice Julian Nagelsmann agreed on a deal with Bayer Munich this week.Tottenhams head coach position became vacant last week following the sacking of Jose Mourinho.Former midfielder Ryan Mason is in charge on the interim basis, with the club in search of a new coach.Ten Hag has been in charge of Ajax since 2017 and guided them to the Champions League semi-finals in 2019.Ten Hag is renowned for developing talented youngsters and he has just one year left on his current contract at Ajax, so financially it would be a good fit as Ajax would probably not ask for much if any, compensation.The 51-year-old was influential in Kudus transfer to Ajax in the summer of 2020 and has helped the youngster establish himself as an important member of the squad.
