KOTOKO TO FACE AL HILAL AHEAD OF CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
Kumasi Asante Kotoko have confirmed a friendly with Sudanse club Al Hilal. This is in preparation for their upcoming CAF Champions League participation.
The Fabulous Club had plans of travelling to Turkey for some pre seasonal games. This suspended due to challenges with visa acquisition.
They also turned down an invitation to play in the GHALCA Top 6 competition.
Kotoko will travel to Sudan on Monday to face Al Hilal on Tuesday August 23, 2022. The game is due to take place at the Al Hilal Stadium in Omdurman. Kick off will be at 7:00 pm.
The Kumasi based club won the 2021/ 22 Ghana Premier League and thus qualified to play in the CAF Champions League Competition.
They are due to face Rail Club du Kadiogo of Burkina Faso in the qualifiers for the 2022/ 23 Total CAF Champions League.
The first leg will also take place during the weekend of 9th to 11th September. The second leg will also take place on 16th to 18th September.
Kotoko will travel to Ouaguadougou first before playing the second leg at home in Ghana.
