Inside Tyson Fury’s scruffy patch of land where he ‘owes £100k in taxes’ strewn with cars and caravans in posh village

THIS is the eyesore at the centre of a court case involving Tyson Fury and two of his brothers, who were hit with a mammoth £100k business tax bill for renting out their land as a car park.

The photos show hundreds of cars, motorhomes and caravans parked at the posh Cheshire properties of the Fury family, which is surrounded by multi-million pound homes.

The land is in a posh part of Cheshire

The area is popular with celebrities and footballers yet the boxing world champion, 35, and his two brothers John Jnr, 39, and Shane, 32, have been renting out a car park on their land, which has landed them in hot water with the courts.

Dad John, 59, was at Chester Magistrate Court to defend his sons saying he had signed the lease agreement with a valet company and they had done nothing wrong by failing to cough up £82,166.85 to Cheshire East Council for a car park, which is adjoining to his house in Styal.

He said he had handed ownership of the land to his sons – who are worth over £134 million – following a “fight with the wife 20 years ago”.

John Snr, 59, said: “I didn’t even have to be here but I’ve come here today to tell you the boys have nothing to do with anything of it, especially Tyson.

“It’s ridiculous when you’re paying millions of pounds in taxes. He hasn’t lived at that address for 18 years.

“All I’ve done is rent a piece of land out. I have no understanding of any kind of business or what they do. It was just an empty yard, that’s all I’ve ever done.” 

Tyson skipped the hearing as he’d jetted off to Saudi Arabia last week on a private jet.

But District Judge Mr John McGarva ordered the three brothers to pay the business rates bill plus court costs of £17,206 – totalling nearly £100k.

The council received information that a company called Holiday Car Parks was operating from the land.

The court heard that Babikir Elmosbah, who owns the firm, has written an affidavit to say that he occupies the land as a tenant on a rental agreement.

John told the court: “I’m an old fashioned man, I’m semi-illiterate, that’s just how it is. I have no understanding.”

He said he has no dealings with the director of Holiday Car Parks and the judge agreed saying: “With respect to John Snr, he did not know what was going on.”

If they fail to pay up, a bailiff could have the unenviable task of reclaiming assets from the boxing family.

Across the road on the north side is a property bought by Tyson last year for an unknown price.

He’s currently applying for planning permission to have it demolished to be replaced with a modern mansion complete with a new pool.

He had to withdraw his previous application to have it pulled down and instead was granted approval to extensively renovate the current home including three extensions, a basement with a games room and home cinema, and a new building for a four-car garage, pool and other ‘leisure facilities’ including a hot tub.

But Tyson and wife Paris have now gone back to their original plan to tear it down and are awaiting on the council’s decision.

Currently, the property is similar to the one he owns with his brothers, where it’s strewn with motor vehicles although it’s not known if this is a spill over from the car park.
