Toon’s Saudi owners deemed an upgrade of their Benton training ground a priority after taking charge in 2021.

Millions have now been pumped into the beloved facility.

And after Newcastle booked their place in next season’s Champions League, the club released footage of Ameobi guiding supporters around.

The striker remains a beloved member of the Magpies family, having scored 79 goals in 397 games.

At the height of his power, Ameobi even took part on an episode of MTV’s iconic show Cribs.

And the 41-year-old rolled back the years as he mocked his appearance with a Cribs-esque tour of Newcastle’s training ground.

Ameobi first used facial recognition technology to provide himself access to the inner sanctum from reception.

A stunning cafeteria was then revealed, with top chefs set to dish out nutritious grub to Eddie Howe’s European hopefuls.

A ‘Wheel of Fortune’ was then shown by Ameobi, with the legend spinning it while declaring how “unique” it was.

Hilariously, he didn’t go on to explain what the wheel’s purpose was.

But a closer look appeared to show sums of money under different letters of the alphabet, perhaps suggesting the payment figures for fines or other forfeits.

Ameobi then showed off Newcastle’s games area, with an amazing cinema also ready to analyse matches and performances.

There have also been upgrades for both the players and managers’ rooms, with boosts to the changing rooms.

Reflecting on his original appearance on the MTV show after joining Nottingham Forest, he said in 2017: “I was stitched up.

“Listen, I can take it on the chin, I’m a big man and I had to sit there and watch while everyone was sniggering and laughing.

“But, you know, that’s the camaraderie we have in the squad, we can sit there and have a bit of banter and have a bit of fun.”
