HARRY KANE dodged wearing lederhosen in Bayern Munich’s annual Oktoberfest photoshoot.

But he hasn’t got out of it for long . . . the £104million striker’s next date in front of the camera WILL see him dressed in leather shorts and holding a beer!

Paulaner is Bayern’s beer partner and the club’s stars dress in the traditional Bavarian outfit ahead of the city’s famous festival, which starts next month.

Kane stayed back in England to be with his wife Kate after the birth of their fourth child, Henry, this week. 

But he is keen to not miss out on this Bayern tradition.

Such quirky events are all part of the new experience which the England captain is loving even though his feet have barely touched the ground over these last 12 days since joining the German giants from Tottenham.

Kane, 30, has already made an impact on the pitch, scoring one and setting up another in Friday’s 4-0 win at Werder Bremen.

Yet, rather than return to Munich, the squad stayed in Bremen and flew to Italy the following morning.

Since 2007, another quirky Bayern event has been the club playing against one of its fan clubs to improve the links with the supporters.

Any of the supporters clubs, not just those in Germany, can apply to host the game.

They must prove a match can go ahead with  no security issues — and promise not to kick lumps out  of Bayern’s stars.

The Weinbeisser Kaltern fan club in South Tyrol were chosen to play against their heroes and gave a run out to 44 players who got just over 22 minutes each.

Bayern won 6-1 and Kane got a huge reception from  6,400 fans when he went on as a second half substitute —  even though he left the pitch on his Bundesliga debut 18 hours earlier due to cramp.

Kane did not score, but admitted: “The closeness to the fans here is just fantastic.”

On Saturday night, Kane returned with the squad to Munich and then took a private flight to London for the birth of his fourth child.

Boss Thomas Tuchel gave Kane a few days off, which is why he missed yesterday’s open training session — and the lederhosen shot.

But he will be back in Munich today for another event which will see all the players — including Kane —   given keys to a new car from another club sponsor Audi.

And then the focus will be back on the football and Sunday’s Bavarian derby at home to Augsburg.

Those who watched Bayern’s  German Supercup game against Leipzig at the Allianz Arena will also notice a weird change in Bayern’s home kit this season as they have ditched their usual red shirts.

Instead, Bayern have opted for a white base with red sleeves in reference to their kit worn from the first Bundesliga season in 1965.

For Kane, at least his new kit is not like Arsenal’s.

Yet the Champions League draw takes place a week tomorrow.

It seems written in the stars that Bayern will end up getting Tottenham’s bitter rivals and neighbours   in  the group stage — or, at the very least, another English team.

ARSENAL head of medical services Gary O’Driscoll is moving to Manchester United in a fortnight.

The highly-regarded doctor joined the Gunners in 2009 and became a key figure.

Professionally, the move will be a wrench for O’Driscoll but it will take him closer to Cheshire-based father Barry, a former doctor and Irish rugby union international. 

They are all part of the famous O’Driscoll family in Ireland, with Gary’s cousin, Brian, one of the sport’s greatest players.

Barry, 79, devoted much of his life’s work to making rugby safe  by  limiting the threat of concussion.

Then 18 months ago, he was diagnosed with early- onset  dementia, the very condition he spent his career trying to protect fellow rugby players from.
