Horse racing tips: Templegate’s NAP is fancied big time to make it two wins in a row

AL MUQDAD (Catterick 3.55, nap)

Has gained valuable experience over the winter and David O’Meara’s persistence paid off when he scored easily at Newcastle three weeks ago. On just his second 7f start, he cruised into contention and had plenty in hand at the finish. He’s bred to continue improving and a 3lb rise for that victory looks very lenient in the circumstances. In-form jockey Danny Tudhope retains the partnership and he can go back-to-back.

EYE OF DUBAI (3.25 Catterick, nb)

Wasn’t overly fancied on debut Chester but could have won had he not missed the break, going down by a neck. That was clearly no fluke, as he was beaten by the same margin at Redcar when last seen. His pedigree suggests he can be an even better three-year-old and after being gelded over the winter, this should be his time to get off the mark.

MISS MOONSHINE (7.30 Kempton, treble)

Rod Millman’s filly was rewarded for a string of consistent efforts when running out an easy winner at Southwell last month. She’s gone up 4lb for that, but Oliver Searle’s 7lb rise means she’s effectively 3lb lower today. With that in mind, she has leading claims.
