‘He’s not a good person’ – Jake Paul reignites feud with UFC boss Dana White and reveals his demands for fighters’ pay

JAKE PAUL has doubled down on his dislike of Dana White – insisting the UFC supremo is “not a good person”.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer has repeatedly taken aim at the veteran promoter over fighter pay in mixed martial arts‘ premier promotion over the last two years.

White has swatted away Paul’s insults and calls for higher fighter pay, which the Disney star has renewed in blistering fashion.

The Problem Child told SunSport: “I don’t know about the fans, the feud between Dana and I has been a lot of hype and it draws a lot of media.

“And there’s been a bunch of s**t talked back and forth but my main thing is getting the fighters paid more

“Raising the fighter minimum to $50,000 whereas it’s at $12,000 (£9,700) now, getting them long-term healthcare.

“That’s what it’s mainly about.”

White found himself in the headlines earlier this month when he was seen slapping his wife Anne on New Year’s Eve after being struck by her – an incident he’s apologised for.

But Paul – who says he’s matured as a person since breaking into the combat sports sphere – has no intention of commenting on the domestic violence incident.

He said: “I know he had his whole situation but I don’t really need to kick people when they’re down.

“What he did speaks for itself and I’ve always said I don’t think he’s a good person – look how he treats these fighters.

“So I really just hope that the message continues to drive home.

“We’re working on the United Fighters Association as we speak to help these fighters out.”

White has vehemently defended the UFC’s pay structure and insists it won’t change under his watch.

He told Manouk Akopyan: “The reality is anybody who’s being critical outside of the fighters themselves don’t know anything anyway.

“They don’t actually know what these guys are making. And the fighters don’t ever come out and tell you.

“There’s no gag order on any of these guys. These guys can come out at any time and tell you what they’re making.

“I have no problem with that. But they don’t, do they? No, they do not. So it’s sort of a Catch-22.

“Fighter pay has continually gone up every year since we owned the business.

“Obviously, there’s been tons more opportunities with the outfitting policy, some of the sponsors that we’ve brought in that spend tons of money with the fighters too.

“There’s a lot of opportunity here for the fighters.

“And listen, there’s never gonna be a guy that’s coming out and saying, ‘Yeah, they’re paying me too much.

“They’re overpaying me. And all of these guys that are champions share in the pay-per-view revenue.

“Listen, if you don’t like it, go start your own MMA league and pay ‘em whatever you want to pay ‘em. This is mine and this is the way we’re doing it.”

Paul, 26, is gearing up for a Saudi showdown with Love Island star turned professional boxer Tommy Fury on February 26.
