‘He might lap him’ – Bumper horse set to go off at insane 1-100 on Saturday
WE all know someone who loves a short-price favourite, but how about this short?
Whatawit will face just one rival in a Ffos Las bumper on Saturday night and is set to go off the shortest price in British history.

Trained by Sir Mark Prescott, Whatawit built on a promising debut at Market Rasen by winning effortlessly at Huntingdon earlier this month.
He made all by eight lengths, beating horses with both good reputations and fair form in the book.
He achieved a Racing Post Rating (RPR) of 108 for that success and would be tough to beat in most bumpers at this time of year.
This could easily have been a walkover had Tracey Barfoot-Saunt not stepped in and ran Johnthepostman – though a walkover it still might be.
Beaten 71 lengths on debut, achieving an RPR of just 40, Johnthepostman was then beaten 92 lengths at Exeter last time.
Sent off at 300-1 on both occasions, he received an RPR of just 9 at Exeter.
In that Doncaster race, the winner received a rating of 104, which is lower than Whatawit achieved, showing the gulf Johnthepostman has to overcome.
Shocks are not uncommon in racing, however, and punters would be very aware of that.
Broadspear was beaten at 1-16 in a Flat race at Chepstow in August, but even that isn’t in the top 11 of short-price losers.
Royal Forest’s Ascot defeat in 1948 holds the record, having gone down at 1-25, and ten others have lost at 1-20.
That includes Tree Of Liberty in 2018 and Triple Dip in 2015, with the former bleeding from the nose.
His price hasn’t been missed, as one person on Twitter joked: “Reckon Whatawit may lap his only rival.”
