POOL fans were left scratching their heads after a freak accident at the Mosconi Cup.

As a result, the commentator was left in shock.

He said: “It came straight out of the pocket.

“It actually seems to start going below ground and then pops its head back up again.

“That is absolutely incredible.”

Fans of the Mosconi Cup were also confused as they took to social media.

One posted: “Well it did go in. A freak I know but he’s potted that ball.”

Alcaide however was not made to pay for his unfortunate miss.

The European went on to win the match and help his team win the Mosconi Cup over the Americans.
