Fortuna Dsseldorf manager Uwe Rosler has criticized Austrian-born Ghanaian defender for conceding a penalty in their defeat to Holstein Kiel. The Bundesliga promotion chasers suffered their first defeat at home in 2021 after the 2-0 loss on Monday night.Danso impeded Kiel forward Jani Serra into box to hand the visitors an early advantage, a foul described by his manager as unnecessary. As a defender you are always at a disadvantage.” Rsler said after the game.”This contact was not necessary, the striker moves away from the goal to the corner flag and seeks contact – and we give him that contact. The striker does it clever and lets himself fall.”Meanwhile, the defender insists the referee was too quick in making the judgement.”I don’t actively move towards the ball, I just go there and brake. If you feel the contact as a striker, then you let yourself go,” said the 22-year-old.”In my opinion, too little to whistle for penalties.”Danso is currently on loan from Bundesliga side Augsburg.
