Fans baffled by Douglas Luiz’s ‘belly-dancing shimmy’ as Villa star appears to aim bizarre celebration at Man Utd stars
DOUGLAS LUIZ left fans in stitches with his unusual celebration after he pulled Aston Villa level against Manchester United.
The Brazilian bagged his seventh Premier League goal of the season to make it 1-1 at Villa Park.

The Villans had been trailing since the 17th minute when Rasmus Hojlund put United 1-0 up.
But Luiz equalised for his side in the 67th minute – celebrating in an usual manner after finding the back of the net.
The 25-year-old midfielder appeared to look directly at the Man Utd defence and shimmy right at them.
The bizarre “belly-dancing” style celebration was greeted with hilarious reaction online.
One said: “Not entirely sure what that celebration is tbh lol.”
While another added: “What on earth is Douglas Luiz playing at!!? Is that a belly dancing chest shimmy!!!”
A third joked that Luiz was breaking the ‘celebration police’ rules, they wrote: “Douglas Luiz is a fully paid up member of the celebrations criminals.”
A fourth chimed in, joking: “Arrest that man now!”

Much has been made about policing the over-celebration of goals and wins in recent weeks.
Jamie Carragher hit out at Arsenal for their celebrations after they beat Liverpool 3-1 at the Emirates last weekend.
And perhaps Luiz should have listened to the public noise as his goal was rendered meaningless when Scott McTominay nodded home 87th minute winner for Man Utd.
Former United legend Rio Ferdinand took to X to tease Luiz afterwards by posting a photo of his celebration with the caption: “U ok Douglas Luiz”.
Luiz has been celebrating off the pitch recently too as he attended his girlfriend Alisha Lehmann’s glitzy 25th birthday party.
Alisha is also a professional player for Aston Villa and represents the Swiss national team.
