Ex-Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder interested in QPR job after Michael Beale quit for Rangers
CHRIS WILDER has thrown his hat into the ring for the vacant Queens Park Rangers job.
The Hoops are on the hunt for a new boss after Michael Beale quit for Rangers – just a month after he claimed “integrity and loyalty” meant he could not leave Loftus Road.

Wilder has vast experience of the Championship at Sheffield United and Middlesbrough, where he was sacked in October.
And SunSport understands the 55-year-old fancies a swift return to management.
QPR are seventh in the division and reeling after Beale’s departure for Ibrox on Monday.
The 42-year-old only became a boss last summer after the R’s nabbed him from his role as Steven Gerrard’s No2 at Aston Villa.

Beale then snubbed Premier League outfit Wolves to stay at QPR, citing integrity and loyalty before making the U-turn to replace Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
Wilder, who led the Blades to the Prem in 2019, could appeal because of his success at Bramall Lane and will not cost any compensation.
QPR are level on points with sixth-placed Millwall in the final play-off spot.
But their goal difference is two worse off having played one match more than the fellow Londoners.

Beale said following his Rangers appointment: “I am hugely proud, it is a wonderful, wonderful football club, it is an institution.
