Elmina Sharks part ways with coach Yaw Acheampong

Elmina Sharks head coach Yaw Acheampong-Ghana Premier League club Elmina Sharks have announced parting ways with head coach Yaw Acheampong.Acheampong has left with his assistant Felix Aboagye and goalkeeper’s trainer Nana Mbrah.”The club will like to thank them for their service to Elmina Sharks and wish them well in their future endeavours.The management will announce their replacements in due course,” a part of the statement read.This comes a day after Elmina Sharks suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Legon Cities at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday night.It was their third straight defeat which has left them just two points away from the relegation zone.In their last 10 games, Sharks have recorded one win – 2-1 against Bechem United – lost four and drawn five.There are reports that Acheampong is heading to Medeama, whose head coach Samuel Boadu resigned on Thursday morning.
