That is according to The Telegraph, who say Villa are also planning to go head to head with Newcastle for the signing of Kieran Tierney.

Emery has done a superb job since taking over from Steven Gerrard in October.

And with European qualification on the cards, there are big plans for the summer.

That’s not only on the pitch too, with Villa said to be close to appointing Barcelona transfer chief Mateu Alemany in a senior football role.

Meanwhile, Vlahovic and Torres are being targeted to bolster Emery’s squad.

Although The Telegraph report it is currently unclear whether either player are open to joining Villa.

But fans on Twitter have been left impressed by the club’s ambition.

One wrote in response to the rumours: “Make Man United and Chelsea forget top 4 next season.”

A second said: “Villa are THEM.”

And a third added: “We need to actually watch out for Villa if they actually come through with these transfers.”

Vlahovic only signed for Juventus in January of 2022, joining from Fiorentina in an initial £58million deal after being linked with Arsenal.

He has netted 21 goals in 58 games for the club.

Torres meanwhile already has Premier League experience, having joined Barcelona from Manchester City in December 2021 for £55million.

But the ex-Etihad ace is believed to be pleased to continue fighting for a spot in the Barcelona team.

Torres has started just 13 La Liga games for Barca this campaign.

That is more than can be said for Arsenal left-back Tierney, who has started just five Premier League games all season.

Tierney is expected to leave the Gunners this summer and is a target for Newcastle, although Villa are also said to be keen.

Emery previously worked with Tierney during his time at the Emirates.
