Cristiano Ronaldo’s mum Dolores posts Instagram like to writer’s bitter attack on Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag
CRISTIANO RONALDO’S mum has applauded a Portuguese writer’s dismissal of Erik ten Hag as a “miserable footnote in football history” who should be told to “f*** off.”
Dolores Aveiro has been quiet in the wake of Cristiano’s explosive interview with Piers Morgan and let her daughters Katia and Elma attack his critics on social media.

But amid reports Manchester United are preparing to cut all ties with the Portuguese international, the 67-year-old made her feelings crystal clear.
She responded to an open letter by journalist and writer Luis Osorio which included a cutting description of United manager Erik ten Hag, who Ronaldo said he did not respect.
After a piece praising Ronaldo, Osorio wrote of ten Hag: “As far as the Dutchman who has managed you in these last few months goes, I just want to laugh.
“How can you compare what you are to a miserable footnote in football history!”

Echoing a rude outburst earlier this week from Alberto Joao Jardim, the former president of Madeira where Cristiano hails from, he added: “As Alberto Joao Jardim says, tell him to “f*** off”.
Ronaldo’s mother Aveiro responded to the post by posting a link to Osorio’s Instagram alongside a clapping emoji.
In his fawning tribute to Cristiano, Osorio also described him as someone who “designed his life as you thought it should be, not as others thought was best for you.”
Dolores’ public show of support was her first since her son’s Piers Morgan interview, in which he also said he felt betrayed by Manchester United.

The interview followed prolonged tension between player and club, including when Ronaldo left the pitch early against Tottenham last month after refusing to come on as a late substitute.
Aveiro has made it clear she would love to see Cristiano return to boyhood club Sporting Lisbon which she is a diehard fan of – but has left it to her daughters to express what the family feels.
One of the daughters, Katia, likened her brother’s treatment by Erik ten Hag to Jesus Christ’s crucifixion in one of her outbursts last month.
After the criticism generated by his shock interview, she said Cristiano could cruise on his private jet and yacht for the rest of his life if he wanted but had decided to “be different and courageous as few cowards and show you’re a man.”
