Reports in Spain suggest Ronaldo is already planning an exit from Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr, despite only signing at the start of the year.

It’s also revealed that a shock return to Real Madrid is on the cards, with girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez unhappy and eager for a return to Spain.

However, it’s thought an ambassadorial role would be offered by Madrid, with a return as a player not understood to be on the cards.

So that could open the door for Newcastle to make a move and sign the 38-year-old ahead of their European campaign next year.

Eddie Howe could have free reign to splash the cash this summer with the Toon close to sealing Champions League football, which Ronaldo hinted last year would be his dream to be involved in again.

They’re currently 9/4 second favourites, behind Madrid at 11/8.

It’s also 9/4 that he doesn’t sign for another club this summer, with another return to a former club in Sporting at 6/1.
