HAKIM ZIYECH has reportedly failed his medical at Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr.

And his £17million move to link up with Cristiano Ronaldo is now on the brink of being canned.

Fahad Algathami claims Ziyech’s move to the Middle East is in serious doubt after he failed to get through medical tests.

The Chelsea flop, 30, has cut an unhappy figure at Stamford Bridge over the past six months.

Ziyech was on the verge of a loan move to Paris Saint-Germain in January before it collapsed due to paperwork not being signed on Chelsea’s end.

And the Morocco international could find himself in no man’s land yet again.

Ziyech was hoping to complete a £17m switch to Al-Nassr after seeing former Blues pals N’Golo Kante, Kalidou Koulibaly and Edouard Mendy move to Saudi.

The transfer would have seen him link up with Portugal legend Ronaldo in attack.

Ziyech’s shock medical result came on the same day Al-Nassr agreed a £20m deal for Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.

The Croatia international has agreed a three-year deal worth £86million and will become the latest poster boy in the Gulf state.

Barcelona were interested in a deal but have confirmed their withdrawal, with president Joan Laporta saying: “Brozovic has an offer from the Saudi League and we will not enter to compete with that.”

Big things were expected of Ziyech when he arrived from Ajax in a £34m move three years ago.

He managed just 14 goals in 107 games – failing to score even once last season.

But Ziyech’s performances for Chelsea came in stark contrast to his efforts for Morocco.

The north African side finished fourth at the Qatar World Cup after sensational wins against Belgium, Spain and Portugal.

Ziyech played a key role alongside Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.

And his World Cup performances did enough to earn a loan bid from PSG at the end of the January transfer window.

However, Chelsea failed to submit the necessary paperwork before the deadline, having been focused on a £106m deal for Enzo Fernandez.

PSG branded the paperwork cock-up a “Class A circus” and a club insider revealed: “The way Chelsea conducted themselves was shambolic and disrespectful. I can’t think of any other way to describe it.

“Now Hakim is going back to a club where he’s not wanted and probably hasn’t got a place.

“Chelsea have ruined six months of his career. It’s really poor behaviour, the club treated this transfer in a frivolous way.

“There is a sense of utter dismay about the way Chelsea did this.

“It’s unacceptable for a club of their stature but this seems to sum up their way of doing business at the moment.”
