Liverpool ran riot against United in March, with Mo Salah’s brace confirming his status as the club’s all-time record Premier League scorer.

Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez and Roberto Firmino were also on target in the rout.

And Liverpool now eagerly await United’s return to Anfield next weekend after moving top of the table with a late win at Crystal Palace.

As for the Red Devils, they will be going into the game on the back of a 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth.

United also face Bayern Munich in a must-win Champions League clash this week.

But they will take on Liverpool without captain and midfield talisman Fernandes.

The Portuguese maestro picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in the 81st minute with his side already 3-0 down.

Fernandes received his card for dissent, and he is now suspended for the trip to Anfield.

Another declared: “Didn’t fancy the Liverpool game so he’s got himself a yellow card.”
